Job Description: Duma Works is recruiting a Senior Developer with Systems Security Expertise for one of our clients. 

We are looking for an experience backend developer with a knack for system security and an urge to make a difference.

As a Senior Backend Developer you’ll play a major role, building applications, architect and implement backend services and work closely with the rest of the team to bring our features to production. Your duties will include, but not be restricted to, these:

Skills and experience:

Experience in databases (MySQL, MongoDB, etc)Comfortable working across the full web stackStrong debugging skillsPreference for Python but also skilled in PHPUp to date on modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript)Experience in Python Frameworks such as Django and FlaskExperience in PHP Frameworks such as Zend, Doctrine, FRAPI / ApiaryExperience with working with and configuring Linux servers (Redhat/Debian or their derivatives)Experience with securing systems and serversKnowledge of web systems attack vectors and their mitigationExpertise with API design and database integrationsAble to take complex problems and break them down to smaller tasksPersonality: We want you to be absolutely kick ass at what you do. We expect you to be creative, curious and challenge us and yourself with new solutions and great ideas. You'll be responsible and are able to work independently as well as collaborate across the dev team (both in Nairobi and abroad) and organisation in a hectic start up environment.
