The Water Services Regulatory BoardOpportunities To Improve Water Service Delivery In KenyaThe Water Services Regulatory Board (Wasreb) is a statutory body charged with economic and service regulation of the water services sector. Wasreb sets rules, standards and guidelines to ensure that water services are provided in an effective and efficient manner with a view to protecting consumer interests.To strengthen our management team, we wish to recruit highly motivated professionals to fill the vacancies below:Reporting to the Manager – Economic Regulation, you will support water service regulatory activities by providing economic/financial analysis that guide the development and implementation of regulatory instruments.Review the water services tariff applications to ensure cost justificationMonitor the implementation of approved tariffs by Water Service Providers (WSPs) and advise management appropriatelyMonitor the economic performance and financial viability of the water service institutions and propose appropriate actionReview the business plans of water service institutions for their feasibility and compliance with their Service Performance Agreements (SPAs)Analyze the performance of water service institutions and prepare advisories on their financial sustainabilityReview and advise management on the economic viability of public/private partnerships proposed by the WSPsWork with other departments to develop regulatory instrumentsUndertake policy analysis, forecasts and projections on water services and advise management accordinglyProvide input into the annual water sector performance report by way of data analysis as necessary.Degree in EconomicsPossession of CPA(K),CFA or ACCA will be an advantage3 years experience in economic and/or financial analysisA high level of analytical skills and proven experience of handling complex and bulk data.The positions of Technical Manager, Economist and Public Relations Officer are Permanent and PensionablePossess excellent communication skillsHave a high level of Computer LiteracyBe team players, self-motivated, organized, and have the ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervisionFor the position of Director- Corporate Affairs, meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution on Leadership and Integrity.How To Apply
