Associate Professors (4 posts)Development Studies ( 1 Post)Business Studies (2 Posts)Communication (1 Post)Degree of doctor of Philosophy (or equivalent academic doctorate) with at least eight years of University teaching experience. At least three of those years must be at a Senior Lecturer levelDemonstration of initiative and involvement in development of academic programmesContinuous engagement in researchMust also show outstanding performance in the following areas since being appointed as a Senior LecturerOutstanding skill and effectiveness in teaching, advising and in research, and supervision of students research and projectsProfessional growth as evidenced through presentations at professional meetings, consultancies in education, government, business or community based organizations in one ‘s own area of SpecializationContribute to scholarship with a minimum of 9 publications Or through at least three articles in refereed journals and/or book chapters or books recognized in ones area of specializationOutstanding Modeling of Christian Community standardsSociology (2 posts)Development Studies (2 Posts)Computer Science (2 Posts)Education- Early childhood (1 Post)Education – Special Needs Education (1 Post)Degree of doctor of Philosophy (or equivalent academic doctorate) in areas of specializationMinimum of 5 years teaching experience as a Lecturer at a recognized UniversityMust have published at least 4 articles in refereed Journals and one book in a relevant fieldMust show evidence of continued research , effective teaching and contribution to University lifeShould have supervised postgraduate degree students , attended and contributed at conferences, seminars and workshopsStrong modeling of Christian community standardsDegree of doctor of Philosophy ( or equivalent doctorate) or Master’s degree in area of specialization with 2 years teaching experience as an Assistant Lecturer at a recognized University or at least at tertiary level or in a cognate field outside higher educationGood skills and effectiveness in teaching and advising studentsGood modeling of Christian Community standardsCommitment to goals of professional growthContinuous engagement in researchSenior Administrative Assistant (1 Post)Reporting to the Deputy Registrar, AcademicsProvide administrative clerical support in the RegistryMaintaining database of students records and progress in their respective study programsProcess application for student admissionsCustodian of the student information management systems for the respective programsManaging the University ERP which houses the students and Faculty recordsAny other assigned tasksBachelor’s degree in a business related field or higher National Diploma with 3 years experienceExperience in an Institution of higher learning will be an added advantageExcellent computer and communication skillsDemonstrate problem solving and analytical skills4. Security Supervisor (1 Post)Reporting to the Campus AdministratorEnsure security and safety of the University resourcesSupervise activities of security guards from the hired private companyAn investigator with ability to gather security information in a confidential mannerMake daily /weekly reportsMaintain catalog of personnel and their assignmentsReport areas of security improvementAttend to any other tasks as assigned by the supervisorO Level educationAt least 3 years in a similar positionMust have worked as a security officer in the disciplined forces or a security supervisor in a large organization. Having worked in an education Institution is an added advantageMust have undergone training to qualify as disciplined officer and other security training e.g customer care, investigations, evidence collecting, report writing, contemporary security challenges etcExcellent analytical and deductive skillsDemonstrate high level of honesty and integrity5. Library Security Attendant ( 1 Post)Reporting to the University LibrarianTo oversee all security concerns of the libraryBe vigilant of any security breaches or hitches in and around the LibraryEnsure that Library books and other library resources are not illegally removed from the Library buildingEnsure that only University Community members enter the Library buildingKCSE D+ or aboveAt Least one year’s experience of which 6 months must be in a UniversityExperience in Library Security work is an added advantageEvidence of Public Relations training or skills also is an added advantage6. Senior Hostel Warden (1 Post)Reporting to the Dean of StudentsMainly to oversee students in the University Qualifications , Experience and key competenciesBasic Degree preferably in Theology or Social SciencesCertificate in basic Counseling skills is an added advantageWork Experience in a Hostel or University settingMature and committed Christian who is active in his/her churchDemonstrate leadership traits and organization skillsDemonstrate ability in handling student related issuesA team Player7. Assistant Accountants (2 Post)Reporting to the Deputy Finance ManagerAttending to student issuesCarrying out registration of studentsClearing of students during graduation and examsPreparing invoicesReview daily receipts/payments reportsMaintain good filing systemAny other assigned dutiesBasic degree , finance or Accounting or social sciencesCPA Part Two/ACCA Part TwoAt least 2 years at Senior Accounts Assistant level preferably in an Institution of Higher learningAbility to work in an ERP environment of SAGE systems an added advantageDemonstrate high level of honesty and integrityExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMust be a team player8.
