Job Description
Our client, in furniture production and joinery is looking for a Quantity Surveyor.
Salary: Shs 35k – 40k
The Projects Quantity Surveyor prepares the bill of quantities.
He/she gives the materials and labor estimates of a particular project and as the project progresses.
The QS will also be responsible for planning and preparing cost tracking to determine whether the project is profitable.
The position reports to the Managing Director.
Primary Responsibilities
- Preparation of Bill of Quantities and taking off
- Develop materials and labour Schedule
- Preparation of project budget
- Profit and loss projections
- Project analysis and tracking
- Attending production meetings
- Preparation of payment certificates
- Preparation of valuation and variations
Abilities and skills needed
- Diploma in Building and Construction or quantity survey
- At least one year relevant experience
- Excellent planning skills
- Analytical mind
- Good team player
- Ability to work without supervision
- Very keen attention to details
- Report writing skills
