Chief Information Officer Job in Kenya (KES 510K - 680K)

Our client is a leading African E - commerce and Financial Services Provider is seeking to fill the position of a Chief Information Officer. The successful candidate will provide strong leadership and senior-level advocacy for the delivery of technology solutions that support IT current and future business transformation programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop and deliver a technology strategy, associated road maps and programme portfolio that are aligned with the company overall strategy.With the Executive team, lead the development and execution of a clear strategy for technology investment to deliver the overall strategy and goals. Ensure delivery of digitally driven solutions and services fully supported by the right architectures and systems, and that dependence on existing legacy systems and contracts is dramatically reduced. Develop and maintain an appropriate IT organizational structure that supports the needs of the business. Establish IT departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures. Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house development. Assess and communicate risks associated with IT investments. Develop, track, and control the information technology annual operating and capital budgets. Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan. Assess and make recommendations on the improvement or re-engineering of the IT organization. Coordinate and facilitate consultation with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations. Approve, prioritize, and control projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems. Supervise recruitment, development, retention, and organization of all IT staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies. Must have a Master degree with technology as the core component.Must have a bachelors degree in Computer Science or I.T related field.Must have 7-10 year’s experience managing and/or directing an IT operation. Must have a Minimum 10 years’ experience working in the banking | Microfinance industry. Experience in strategic planning and execution. Substantial exposure to data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems. Proven experience in IT planning, organization, and development. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong negotiating skills. Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language. Exceptionally self-motivated and directed. Keen attention to detail. Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 510,000 - 680,000/= (Approx. 6,000 - 8,000 USD)depending on experiencerecruit@summitrecruitment-kenya.com
