Senior Registered Nurse (Accident & Emergency)

Responsibilities

• Senior Registered Nurse (Accident & Emergency)
  responsibilities include;


• Quickly and accurately assess patient care needs


• Working collaboratively with doctors and staff to provide
  exceptional care


• Performing all requested diagnostic tests


• Diagnosing and developing treatment plans collaboratively
  with doctors and staff


• Managing multiple cases simultaneously, prioritizing needs
  continually


• Complying with all legal and safety requirements at all times


• Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment


• Working at maximum efficiency without compromising quality of
  care


• Abiding by all hospital rules and regulations


• Acting in a composed and professional manner, especially
  under pressure


• Monitoring coworkers and voice concerns to minimize errors


• Providing follow up care instructions to patients and make
  necessary referrals


• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient charts


• Attending required trainings and continuing education events

Minimum Requirements

For appointment to this
grade, a candidate must have;

• Served in the grade of Registered Nurse for a minimum period
  of five (5) years or in a comparable position.


• Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Kenya Registered
  Community Health Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing, Kenya Registered
  Midwifery, Kenya Registered Nursing/MentalHealth and Psychiatric from a
  recognized institution.


• Higher Diploma in Accident and Emergency Nursing from a
  recognized institution.


• Registration certificate issued by the Nursing Council of
  Kenya.


• 2023 practising license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.


• Proficiency in computer applications.
