Responsibilities
- Senior Registered Nurse (Accident & Emergency)
responsibilities include; - Quickly and accurately assess patient care needs
- Working collaboratively with doctors and staff to provide
exceptional care - Performing all requested diagnostic tests
- Diagnosing and developing treatment plans collaboratively
with doctors and staff - Managing multiple cases simultaneously, prioritizing needs
continually - Complying with all legal and safety requirements at all times
- Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment
- Working at maximum efficiency without compromising quality of
care - Abiding by all hospital rules and regulations
- Acting in a composed and professional manner, especially
under pressure - Monitoring coworkers and voice concerns to minimize errors
- Providing follow up care instructions to patients and make
necessary referrals - Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient charts
- Attending required trainings and continuing education events
Minimum Requirements
For appointment to this
grade, a candidate must have;
- Served in the grade of Registered Nurse for a minimum period
of five (5) years or in a comparable position. - Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Kenya Registered
Community Health Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing, Kenya Registered
Midwifery, Kenya Registered Nursing/MentalHealth and Psychiatric from a
recognized institution. - Higher Diploma in Accident and Emergency Nursing from a
recognized institution. - Registration certificate issued by the Nursing Council of
Kenya. - 2023 practising license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
