The University of Nairobi, a body corporate established under the Universities Act 2012 of the laws of Kenya and the University of Nairobi Charter, is the pioneer institution of University education in Kenya and the region. Requirements
Applicants shall be holders of either an Msc. degree in any of the following fields: Land Surveying, Geographical Information Systems,(GIS), Cartography or Photogrammetry or any other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognized Learning Institution plus five (5) years’ experience at the level of Chief Technologist grade 12 or either a Bachelor of Science degree or a Higher Diploma in in any of the following fields: Land Surveying, Geographical Information Systems,(GIS), Cartography or Photogrammetry or any other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognized learning Institution plus ten (10) years’ experience at the level of Chief Technologist grade 12.
Duties and responsibilities
The successful candidate will among other assignments be expected to provide technical leadership, supervise Technical staff, actively participate in research activities in the Department, develop material for both technical instructions, supervise and organize practical teaching for both post and undergraduate students.
