Vacancy: Business Development Advisor
COFA Institute of Technology is an upcoming middle level college in the outskirts of Nairobi.
The institute endeavors to enhance abilities, life skills and competitiveness of students by providing them with a wide range of marketable programmes that would enable them to adequately prepare for and effectively respond to changes in a dynamic multicultural world.
The college will continue to expand its programmes while observing regional and global trends in higher education and adopt varied modes of delivery.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Planning and assessment of quality courses geared towards enhancing technologies
- Develop business model for the institution
- Spearhead negotiations and implementation on the model of the institution
- Understand stages of establishment of middle level colleges and various interactions with Commission of Higher Education, VTIs, TVETs, etc.
- Provides technical assistance in training, mentoring, and coaching professional and technical staff
- Defines and documents customer business functions and processes.
- Consults with functional unit management and personnel to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access.
- Develops training curriculum and conducts formal training sessions covering assigned systems module.
- Researches and prepares statistical reports using data from internal surveys. Consolidates information into cohesive and understandable correspondence or other written form for use in management decision-making.
- Benchmark courses offered with other institutions of a similar caliber
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Education or related qualification
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a middle level college
- Demonstrate ability to effectively lead the institution
- Ability and experience to lead startup educational institutions
- Proven analytical and financial modeling skills
- Demonstrate leadership skills, teamwork and relationship building
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills, including MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Ability to work independently, flexibly and responsively
- Able to adapt to changing working conditions
- Able to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ready to work in a growing institution
