
Job Description
Our client a leading Telecoms company in East Africa is currently seeking to employ energetic and enthusiastic Sales People for the position of a Business Development Officer.
The incumbent will be tasked with the following responsibilitiesRoles & Responsibilities:
- Planning and writing proposals, and leading ongoing project presentations to clients
- Responsible for the success and satisfaction of the individual client relationships
- Nurture the client relationship in terms of revenue generated and account profitability
- Develops position as confidante with senior managers within client organization, the client and company
- Preparation of pricing, including costing resources, verification of resource requirements and
- Build and Nurture supportive client relationships on client accounts.
- Consistently provide excellent customer service to clients.
- Representing the client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality
- Managing targeted accounts and presenting a broad portfolio of business products and services
- Building relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities
- Owns the contract and contract renewals for new work for an existing client
- Responsible for all client communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on client deliverables and revenue
- Ensure that service level agreements are maintained and renewed in a timely manner.
- Review the project with the Product Manager for comments and approval.
- Follow-up on the sent quotations / proposal to the client till logical conclusion timings for lump sum elements
- Vetting costing, timings and margins with Finance Manager, Business Line Managers and Product Managers as necessary
- Preparation of pricing clarifications and commercial qualifications
- Ensuring contract terms and conditions are reviewed and qualifications incorporated in proposal.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Hold of a Diploma or Degree in relevant field.
- 2 years ICT/ Telecoms sales experience
- Experienced in selling VSAT/Fibre/Wimax a must.
- Track record- of success.
