Our client a Printing Manufacturing Industry is looking for a HR manager
The HR Manager – will be responsible for all aspects of the human resources function in line with the company goals and plans.
Long term objective of the function: To provide oversight and implementation of all aspects of the HR strategy in alignment with the company growth strategy
Short Term objective: To provide oversight and lead implementation of the company’s manpower acquisition and Development Plan
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement staffing plan according to company strategy
- Manage recruitment firms and accelerate hiring efforts
- Develop a communication and training plan that supports implementation of the company strategy
- Define and manage HR strategies, policies and procedures for the EA team
- Define practices for Reward, Recognition and Remuneration; Performance Management; Talent Management
- Set annual performance targets in consultation with the Managing Director
- Provide HR support for expat and visiting foreign colleagues and clients, such as visas, contracts, taxes, work permits.
- Manage employee relations to resolve and mitigate employee grievances
- Manage the integrity of the payroll
- Management of employee benefits

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence positively and build relationships.
- Must have a solid understanding of human resource principles and practices, employment and labor law.
- Possess strong presence, sense of urgency and ownership.
- Demonstrate the ability to counsel both employees and managers effectively.
- Excellent planning, organizational, analytical and decision making skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Confidentiality, tact and discretion when dealing with people.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or equivalent
- 6 + years HR experience, in HR strategy recruiting and training, performance management, compensation & benefits and employee relations
- Solid knowledge of the labor laws and practices within the EA region
Job Location: Nairobi, Kenya
