The American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) is a Quaker organization that includes people of various faiths who are committed to social justice, peace, and humanitarian service.

We have a vacancy for Consultancy – Partners Needs Training Assessment to be carried out with the following objectives:
- Carry out an assessment in the six areas we are working in Somalia, namely Mogadishu, Galkayo, Baidoa, Kismayu, Dhobley and Dadaab refugee camp; and come up with peace-building parameters that we will be using as our benchmarks.
- Carry out a training needs assessment and establish the capacity gaps of AFSC’s Somalia local partner organizations.
Outputs and Services
- A technical proposal with a proposed evaluation framework/design and a description of the evaluation team.
- Upon signing a contract submit an inception report detailing the evaluation design, methodology and data collection tools to be discussed and agreed upon with AFSC, Somalia.
- Plan and carry out the evaluation process.
- A draft report of the evaluation
- Facilitate a validation workshop/meeting on the basis of the draft report,
- Final evaluation report incorporating comments from the AFSC, partner and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge in research and assessments (i.e. tools development, sampling, data collection and analysis)
- Very good knowledge of the Somalia context
- Extensive knowledge in analytical reporting
- Good public relations background
