Production Manager – Hatchery
Our client, a market leader in Animal Processing Industry across Africa is seeking to recruit the best talent in the region for the position of Production Manager.
The successful candidate should have a background in Mechanical Engineering with expertise in people management and general operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a hatchery management program.
- Achieve hatchery targets.
- Implement best practice processes including preventative and maintenance.
- Increase efficiency and productivity.
- Manage monitor and develop staff, set and drive performance targets.
- Manage service contracts of suppliers.
- Financial management, budgets, forecasts profitability and cost control.
- Implement KAIZEN systems and standards.
- Ensure delivery schedules, quantity and quality criteria are met.
- Manage hatchery services such as bio-security, distribution, and waste disposal.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes.
- Must have a degree in mechanical / production engineering.
- Must have a minimum of 10 years experience in a senior level management.
- Must have a record of successfully managing over 200 employees.
- Must be experienced in general management and operations.
- Must have worked in either animal processing or horticulture industry.
Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 120,000 – 150,000/= (Approx. 1,300 – 1,800 USD) depending on experience
