Our client, a market leader in Animal Processing industry across Africa is seeking to recruit the best talent in the region for the position of Farm Manager.
The successful candidate should have a background in animal production with expertise in poultry production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee production operations in the breeder Farms.
- Achieve of production targets.
- Monitor daily performance and curb abnormalities.
- Maintain Bio security and monitor health and safety.
- Monitor flock performance and carry out mortality surveys.
- Cost Management.
- Staff performance management.
- Implement timetable for medication and vaccinations.
- Manage and maintain proper farm records, quarantine and breed standards.
- Ensure feed stock levels are maintained.
- Ensure egg production levels match with the hatchery capacity.
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in Animal science / Agribusiness.
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience managing a farm.
- Experience in horticulture / livestock industry.
- Excellent People Management skills.
- Good judgement and problem solving skills.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- A high level of integrity and accountability.
Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 100,000 – 150,000/= (Approx. 1,111 – 1,666 USD)depending on experience
