Job Description Vacancy: Locum / Part-time Medical Officer (M.O)Job Purpose: Medical officer will be responsible for providing quality healthcare to clients who visit the health facility as well as manage the clinic operations.

Job Duties

Monitor and provide general treatment for a wide variety of health ailmentsExamine and talk to patients to diagnose their medical conditionsCarry out specific procedures as necessary e.g. performing operations and specialist investigationsMaking electronic notes and preparing reports both as legal record of treatment and for the benefit of fellow healthcare providersWorking as part of the team with fellow healthcare providersAttend to emergency callsPromote health education particularly on emerging medical concernsConduct research and keep abreast in field of specialty treatment Supervise other medical personnel (clinical officers, lab technicians and nurses) Continually assess the quality of the clinic services and take up corrective measures while instilling best practice to healthcare team in generalBachelors’ degree in Medicine/SurgerySuccessful completion of internship and practice registration by the KMPDBRegistration with Medical Practitioners and Dentists BoardCurrent Practicing License issued by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.1-2 years’ active knowledge and experience in managing clients within a health facilityExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent analytical skills Computer literacy with ability to operate a Care and Treatment Health Management SystemInnovative with a high degree of initiativeOrganizational skillsHow to Apply
