Job Description KMT is seeking to recruit a Knowledge & Learning Manager who will be responsible for implementation of KMT’s Knowledge and Learning function that focuses on internal training and knowledge sharing and development of knowledge and learning products for both KMT’s internal and external audience.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Knowledge & Results Manager, the successful candidate will
- lead the development and implementation of KMT’s Knowledge and Learning strategy. He/she will initiate and support various research processes and ensure the use of evidence and results to inform strategy, promote learning and demonstrate impact and support innovation.
- develop knowledge and learning materials for both internal and external audiences. He/she will work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders across the organisation to develop best practice and build substantial portfolio case studies, white papers, presentations and reports.
- develop, update and implement KMT’s internal learning and capacity building process. He/she will be responsible for sharing insights across the various sectors of operation of KMT to enhance overall performance and be the advocate for continuous learning. He/she will be responsible for developing a robust induction and on-boarding program for KMT staff.
- take part in KMT’s result measurement function as required
- be the Gender focal person from KMT
- Prepare and submit regular performance reports.
The Knowledge & Learning Manager will have:
– Gained at least 5 years working experience gained in the knowledge, learning & practice capacity building and/or publication sector. The successful candidate will be a graduate with a relevant degree with a strong communications emphasis. A Masters qualification will be an added advantage.
– Excellent writing skills and strong reporting and presentation skills, with the ability to
communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner, for different purposes and across multiple audiences;customise information for dissemination across multiple communication platforms and optimize content for digital channels and drive engagement;extract insights from KMT’s activities, develop case studies, write white papers, prepare presentations to leverage from the work done by the organisation and insights gained; andmake presentations as required– Strong relationship management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships, influence and motivate employees, stakeholders and partners.
– Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, good organizational skills with the ability to manage various projects in a deadline-driven environment; and drive them through to successful completion
– Highly proficient in the use of MS Office tools
– Possess a high level of integrity and commitment to the vision of the organisation
– Be a positive, proactive, enthusiastic, pragmatic and energetic hands-on individual with a high level of initiative, personal drive and resilience
