Vacancy: Graphic Design & Website Management Officer

Objectives and Position in the Company

To develop advertisement media such as product catalogues, in-house and external advertisements for Furniture Elegance in line with business and market objectives.To develop unique design briefs in line with current trends and specific customer objectives.Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts.Proofreading all relevant design material to produce accurate and high-quality work.To liaise with respective suppliers in relation to printing marketing and advertising media.To monitor, report and advise on the impact of marketing media using appropriate analytics tools.Determining size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and font style and size.Keeping abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as QuarkXPress, FreeHand, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Dreamweaver and Flash.To update and edit the website in coordination with the Content and IT manager. Update available materials (text, photos, and videos) to ensure its reach, interest and accuracy to identified key audiences.To ensure all content on the website is accurate and timely and to contribute to reports about the current and future use of web technologies.Assesses the opportunity to use design media to reach specific target audiences.Developing concepts, graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites.Use internet to build customer loyalty through online engagement programs.Position holder will be based in the Head Quarter’s Nairobi office.Plan, strategize and implement marketing media, designs and publications in relation with the company objectives.Liaise with marketing, sales and management team to bring out company objectives effectively through graphic media.Maintain, update and ensure that the website and content retains its unique ‘look and feel’ with appropriate creative thinking and meets company objectives.Experienced and great understanding and use of Adobe Creative Suite 6, along with all associated packages such as Photoshop, InDesign, illustrator.Concrete knowledge and understanding of the web and web formulation, management and posting of content on a regular basis.Conversant with current ICT trends and applications in relation to the main job objectives.Able to meet on-line sales targets.Reports to: IT & Business Development Manager and CEO.
