Supervision: Licensing Assistant
Location / Region: KMA head office, Mombasa
Purpose: Responsible for processing the licensing of all shipping lines and service providers in the industry. Maintaining a shipping line/agents register/ records.
Receive licence applications for maritime service providers;Investigate compliance with minimum service requirements and avail investigation reports to the licensing committee;Monitor compliance with minimum service level requirements among maritime service providers;Enforce programs designed to assist in detecting any malpractices and violations as set forth in the regulationsProduce trade reports and analysis of costs and level of efficiency of ports and shipping services.Bachelors degree in logistics, transport management, economics or business managementDiploma or certificate in shipping, clearing and forwarding5 years’ experience with at least 3 years in shipping related industryExcellent interpersonal, management and communication skills;Excellent organizational skills and highly confidential;Computer literacy and familiarity with standard office computer applicationsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines
